General Info

Located at 1740 S Buckley Rd, Aurora, CO 80017, United States, King Wok Express is the kind of Chinese restaurant that locals often mention when talking about casual dining spots in the neighborhood. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming. It’s not overly fancy, but that’s exactly the charm-this is a place where the focus is clearly on flavorful comfort food and a menu that satisfies both quick lunch cravings and family dinners.

One of the first things I noticed when browsing the menu was how many familiar favorites were available. The Combo Fried Rice stands out immediately, especially if you enjoy a hearty dish loaded with flavor. The portion is generous, and the mix of ingredients creates that classic fried rice taste people expect from a dependable Chinese restaurant. Another popular option is the Combo Lo Mein, which has a comforting balance of noodles, vegetables, and savory seasoning. It’s the kind of dish that feels filling without being too heavy.

Of course, it would be impossible to talk about the experience at King Wok Express without mentioning the Sesame Chicken. This dish often draws attention from regular diners because of its sweet, slightly tangy glaze and crispy texture. The flavor feels familiar and satisfying, making it a safe yet delicious choice for both first-time visitors and longtime fans of Chinese cuisine.

Something that adds variety to the dining experience here is the Salad Bar, which gives guests the option to mix lighter items with their main dishes. It’s a nice touch, especially if you want a bit of freshness alongside richer meals. And if you’re in the mood for something sweet, the Sesame Balls (8 pieces) offer a simple but enjoyable dessert option. Lightly crisp on the outside with a soft interior, they’re a satisfying way to round out the meal.

Beyond the food itself, the services make the restaurant comfortable for many types of diners. King Wok Express offers onsite services, making it convenient whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxed meal. The environment is good for kids, which makes it a practical choice for families looking for an easy dining spot.

Payment is also straightforward and flexible, as the restaurant accepts credit cards and debit cards, removing the hassle of cash-only policies. Combined with its reputation for comfort food, these details make the overall experience feel easy and approachable.

In terms of location, King Wok Express sits in a convenient part of Aurora, making it accessible for both nearby residents and visitors exploring the area. What customers say?

“ amazing food combo for 9.17$(i took the drink instead of the wontons/roll) ”

- Daim Hossain (Damu) -

“ Under rated but not the best, you get what you pay for and this place is very inexpensive. Gotta say though. Not bad for dollar scoop. The sesame chicken is over breaded like the other reviews state but it is chicken. The orange chicken has good flavor. The crab cheese wantons do have imitation crab though not a lot. The lo mein was pretty average. The fried rice was good. Chicken egg rolls were flaky and good. Overall not great but pretty decent. ”

“ Everything was great except they were out of what I ordered so I had to order something else. I chose the hot and spicy chicken. It was really dry, not spicy and a few of the jalapenos were just the tops/ stem's that aren't edible. I added some hot sauce to make it less dry but the chicken was hard and chewy so it was really hard to eat. The other meals were good. The restaurant is dark and gloomy also not in a good part of town. You can see that someone broke out their front glass door before. Also don't order off of GrubHub, the prices are more than the actual price plus they tried to charge me an $18 service fee that's separate from the delivery fee. I saved over $20 just from ordering directly from the restaurant and picking it up myself. The staff is very friendly and he even offered us a free 2 liter of soda. ”

“ Awesome food! Great customer service! Restaurant is a little dated, but super good well priced food! ”

“ This is a good Chinese food scoop place with good prices and huge portions. The food seems fresh and tastes good. Most people are getting it to go. I would not recommend eating it there. They don’t take good care of the dining area at all. ”

- Cody J. Collier -

“ Sunday night dinner stopped in around 7pm hour before closing. For the price I cannot complain. Huge portions the combo plate is enough to feed 2 people. I went with the mushroom chicken, orange chicken, fried rice egg roll a coke plus a side of hot sauce all for $10. Food was good very filling couldn't ask for more for the value. Check this place out for some quick inexpensive food. ”

“ I've order the family meals (both options A and B) multiple times for crews working on Christmas. The family meals definitely make it easy to order for a crowd. I initially chose the restaurant because they are open on Christmas and the price also is very affordable for feeding a large group. My order has been correct for 3 years running for a total of 5 orders and everyone says the food is excellent. ”
